Day 1: Sumidero Canyon / Chiapa de Corzo / San Cristóbal de las Casas

Reception at airport in Tuxtla Gutiérrez / tour by boat on the imposing Cañón del Sumidero and Cañón del Sumidero Ecotourism Park/ tour of Chiapa de Corzo to visit its colonial fountain and artisanal stalls/ transfer to San Cristóbal de Las Casas / free-and-easy afternoon to visit the city and its main buildings / accommodation in San Cristóbal de Las Casas

Day 2: Indigenous community / San Cristóbal de las Casas

Breakfast / transfer to the Highlands of Chiapas to visit the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, places of ancestral traditions where you can observe the lives of the indigenous peoples of Chiapas through their customs and traditional clothing / transfer to San Cristóbal de Las Casas / check-in to hotel, meal time / free-and-easy afternoon to enjoy this picturesque city / accommodation in San Cristóbal de Las Casas

Day 3: El Chiflón waterfalls / Montebello lakes / Hacienda Santa María / Comitán

Transfer to El Chiflón waterfalls to witness the impressive 80-metre fall / continue to the main lakes of Montebello, which owe their myriad of colors to the reflection of sunlight and its calcium carbonate-rich lake beds / visit to Santa María Museum-Parador, a beautifully restored hacienda which comes with a restaurant and the only existing museum of sacred art in Chiapas / transfer to Comitán / free-and-easy afternoon to visit the city and its main buildings / accommodation in Comitán

Day 4: Agua Azul waterfalls / Misol-Ha waterfalls / Palenque

Breakfast / after a picturesque drive through sugar cane fields and mountainous jungle, we will arrive at a place of magic, water and exuberant vegetation – Agua Azul waterfalls for lunch and a tour of the place / continue to tour of Misol-Ha, a free-falling waterfall almost 40-metres in height / transfer to Palenque / accommodation in Palenque

Day 5: Lacandon jungle / ancient Mayan cities of Bonampak and Yaxchilán / Palenque

Very early departure / breakfast en-route / a must-visit in Chiapas, the Lacandon jungle, one of the most important green lung in the continent / our first stop will be Bonampak archeological zone, city of “painted walls”, where you will be fascinated by the Sistine Chapel of the Mayans / navigating one of the mightiest rivers in the Southeast of Chiapas, we will arrive at Yaxchilán, the city of “green stones” famed for its elaborate lintels and steles / lunch at Frontera Corozal / return to Palenque / accommodation in Palenque

Day 6: Palenque archeological site / transfer to Villahermosa airport

Breakfast / tour of Palenque archeological zone, one of the most important and impressive of Mayan city discoveries including the tomb of Lord Pakal, the Palace, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Cross and Temple of the Foliated Cross / return to Palenque o transfer to Villahermosa airport, Tabasco for return flight. End of tour.
